They call it pre-production. And Tabata is not very hands-on with the DLC. The DLC has its own separate producer. I forget his name, but you can look it up.

It's 100% FF16 because the only other franchises SE has to fit that description are Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest, both of which have their hands full preparing to launch their latest iteration.

I want KH3 as much as the next guy, but I also understand that Nomura gives himself way too much work/is given way too much work. I have no clue what ended up happening with Versus, but I don't doubt that handling two major series at the same time took it's toll. He steps down from/gets taken off of XV, gets to work on KH3 full time, then bam, VII-R is dropped on him 2 years later.

I honestly think we're getting news on both this E3. We'll probably get a new world at E3 along with a look at some other Disney character. If they're doing BBS's different playable characters, we'll probably get a look at Riku or Kairi in action.

As for VII-R, Aerith and Tifa are most likely going to be shown at the very least. They'll probably expand on the Materia/ATB/ARPG system though. I don't want to guess much they'll show story wise, since who knows how far they'll go up to. I don't think they'll cut off Part 1 at leaving Midgar like everyone is saying, but who knows. I think it'll be later, but not necessarily end of disc 1 later.
