So you can play casually on a couch while laying down and have a bluray/netflix/hulu player.
Yeah you can use a pc for that, but it's a pain in the dick to carry everything over, then put it back when done.

But why not buy a $30 chromecast player instead?

>tfw Bloodborne + Old Hutners and Gravity Rush 2 are in your top 10 now
Buying it was already worth just for those two games. Playing P5 right now (in casino) and like it very much too. Dunno if I should get Nioh or Yakuza 0 after that.
To play Bloodborne, Persona 5, Nioh, TLG, Yakuza, Gundam, Horizon, Gravity Rush 2, Uncharted 4 + everything else that came on comsoles but not PC (yet) like FF15.

Well Blu-Ray as he mentioned. Personally I used mine for like 200 hours ofDestiny, Still playing Bloodborne for the 5th time, Gravity Rush 2 was my GotY, some ok retro games on the PSN, but not many. I also use it occasionally as a youtube/netflix machine.
It's not for everyone, I would argue it's the best bang for your buck if you like playing good games in between casually and, ugh, hardcore. Some good exclusives but a lot of them are overhyped by sony fags here, but that's the case for every system.
In the end, I think:
>PS4: Home Entertainment System on a budget
>PC: 160 fps Big Rigs simulator
Kidding, PC gaming for modding and a huge selection of good, not amazing games
>Nintendo: Party games and light hearted fun
>Xbox One:Never Ever

Why not run your PC to your TV with a HDMI cable then?

I've done that before, but my PC is old and I can't afford to upgrade as I'm a senior in college right now and my money goes to rent. It's gotten really laggy lately so sometimes it's better to use my PS4 browser for sports streams or whatever. I can run Fallout New Vegas on it and that's about the most modern it can handle, oddly enough at one point it could run crysis 2 at ~50 fps but that was probably 7 years ago.
Last time I did it I was playingUndertaleon my flat screen living room tv from it with the DS4, it worked fine then but has a hard time running youtube videos now sometimes.
None, PC is a straight upgrade. It's cheeper, more powerful, and you can bootleg games if they don't port them to PC. Or just bootleg all your games like a poorfag.
