Why don't consoles have any esports titles?

They used to, but generally because its rather hard to develop truly competitive games for console. Mostly because of the demographic consoles tend to attract, but also just from the fact that controllers are shit for precision except when playing racing games.

Just because a game is popular, doesn't mean its competitive or that it would make a good esport.

Two out of two people I met at uni played the shit out of those games( LoL, DOTA 2, CSGO) are complete reddit weirdos. I waste my time playing vidya but I did not turn into socially awkward freak. I truly believe that competitive games are bad for you.

Fighting games and rocket league are pretty fucking huge as far as esports go.

I know Halo and CoD had a large console esports following about 5 years ago. Not sure about today.

Just because it isn't MOBAshit or CS:GO doesn't mean it doesn't have an esports scene.

They also had Halo but it lost steam after Halo 2 and died after Halo 3. Competitive CoD is also played on consoles because only CoD fans are retarded enough to actually play a competitive FPS multiplat on consoles.

I never understood this, wiimote was the most comfy way to play. Sit on the couch, arms to the sides almost in a laying position. Shake the remote for cstick smashes and you're good.

Maximum comfy is achieved when you can get a girl to feed you while you play.

It most definitely peaked at halo 2. Halo 3 was a huge step down but just had the residual hype because it was kind of shoe-horned into mlg tournaments.
