I just want to understand how to make a roguelike, so far every fucking tutorial is either outdated or just doesn't work. What do?
So, I've finally picked up my game again. I put it on hold a while ago because I didn't feel like I was up to the challenge, but I guess I am now.
I reimplemented basically everything I made in 3 months in less than a week (and just a couple hours a day at that, tops).
The code is much cleaner and extensible, there's nowell, barely anyhacks, and everything just works. With how fast I made this stuff I'm really satisfied.

What are some good recommended programming/scripting manuals for Unity?
I know programming and C#, but I don't know how the fuck Unity itself works. Shit like getting references to objects so I can change their properties and stuff.
Any suggestions?

I had a dream about a game which works like Prince of Persia, but the plot is that you have to fuck some dark elf, if you are not good enough then the orc makes a family with that elf and they have a daughter. Also bonus round where you fuck another elf in a full nelson kinda. I had that dream 2 days in a row, I think it's a sign: I either have to learn gamedev and make the game or just fap.

Why would you make something so complex by following a tutorial? Learn how to make the separate components first and then combine them into a roguelike.

Inconsistent art style bugs me. I mean you textured ground that it looks like painted with brush swipes but models and water are textured normally. It makes impression of trying too hard on original art style thus looking very amateurish. I'm not interested. Music is kinda good tho. Game mechanics, hard to tell without knowing more / required ingredients for crafting.
