If the dev doesn't fuck it up it will probably be the CS:S of VR. the map tools are almost as good as valce's hammer SDK and it supports shit like custom sounds and i THINK he is adding support for custom weapons.

They can and it's piss easy, but the drag & drop library in unity doesn't automatically add that to the game, so you have shitty "developers" not knowing what they do at all.
You just load the constraints of the IK rig into your game and make sure the bones are tracking the pads. Done. It's that easy.
Games like VRChat show your arms for example.

not really, when you have hands and face tracked, you can't really do shoulders position correctly, they add a virtual body for equipment and usually can't get what I want without looking at it

Your bitch-gripe with the arms not being shown in first person is actually because people requested it because it helps visibility in firefights. Unless your arms are being tracked, the game is going to fuck up and shove them in your face when you try to fire from cover or prone.
These are issues you would only understand having seen them in a VR enviroment, i don't expect you to agree with me 100% but trust me when i say we need to for-go the arms until we get tracking for your entire arm or something.
