I'm wary on the Radiant Historia and Strange Journey re-releases. What i've seen makes me think they'll end up hurting the sense of melancholy in the former, and sci-fi dread in the later.

Slightly derailing the thread, been having a lot of free time at work night shifts and I want to have some fun.
I need some 3DS/DS recommendations.
I breeded tons and played competitive in Pokemon XY and then in ORAS, was tons of fun but the story of Sun really bore me out.
Loved Bravely Default, want to try other turnbased JRPG games.
I love difficult platformers.
Please help me

All of the SMT games on 3ds are really great JRPGs. Try starting with SMTIV.
I would also recommend the Fire Emblem games, and Monster Hunter if you have the patience to get into it.

Maybe it didn't sell terribly well, but it was at least a really solid game, and the people that did play it will remember it fondly. Zip Lash is mediocre in every respect and will probably ensure we don't get another proper Chibi Robo.

Not really. You're forgetting the sequel on the DS that was actually really fucking good. It improved on the original in a lot of ways, it's just a shame it was hamstrung by the DS itself.
