It's way too easy/non-scary to be called that though.

Some design decisions really makes me scratch my head. Insta-healing + game pause on inventory + very plentiful medkits means combat is always trivial. Not to mention how massively plentiful ammo is.
At the ending it becomes a backtracking fest and at that point what the game is throwing at you is so non threatening the game became hold W and shotgun whatever is on your path while ignoring everything else.

I think Arkane has trouble balancing rewarding explanation. There's medkits where ever you look. Instead of making searching for items mandatory, going ANYWHERE out of the critical path rewards the player with health items. Since some players have a tendency of squouring everywhere anyway, of course the player is going to have a surplus of healing items.

I don't know why people say the gunplay is shit. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's perfectly fine, especially considering you're not going to be all guns blazing most of the time. It's way better than FO4, for example, which I'd consider having shit gunplay.

That wouldn't be so much of a problem if how healing worked was tweaked though.
The simplest solution would make it heal over a short period of time, while food could maybe heal extremely slowly but last very long. That would fix so much it's unbelievable it's not in at all, I seriously hope it gets modded in but the game seems to be as closed to modding as they come.
