Ann and Ryuji didn't do much after the Summer. And the big targets they kept researching between heists were done by Makoto or Futaba all the time.

The entire plot actually revolves around Makoto and Futaba because of their relatives.

A rewrite for Futaba wouldn't change much in the story, how would you change it without drastically altering events in the game?

Haru could be a gated Social Link at the start of the game that stops at Rank 3-5 until you get her as a party member in September.

But the ideas you have about introducing new plot points wouldn't work since the protagonist is unavailable from January to February, only giving you half a month and March for anything new to the story. It still has you locked into the original ending's pitfalls like the framing device of being arrested and telling the story back.

THAT should be removed. Sae spoiled the list of targets too as they were unveiled. It fucking sucked, I hate the casino arrest dominating the plotline so much.

That was your mistake, being unable to spot which confidants raise your stats and focusing on them first to get mad gains (speech giving guy gives 3 charm points every rank), Iwai's is a bit fucked since while he gives proficiency he's locked behind 4 guts.

The game ends in a pretty open-ended way. The Thieves are all in a van driving down the highway and Haru mentions some trouble her friend is in.

It would need a rewrite but wouldn't be hard since it's only a direct topic at the early start of her social link. They really have enough working material like say a school clubs to put Haru early in the game.

Futaba being a shut-in and the "twist" about the Summer dungeon would be much harder of a rewrite than Haru's just to include more Futaba early in the game. Akechi is another character that would need more spotlight, but he'd be more of a pre-Persona 5 storyline. Like Akechi's own version of the Answer and a harder difficulty because of the plotline.

Haru and Futaba's reaction to their fucking parent's murderers was complete and utter BULLSHIT. Just awful writing.

Haru herself is literally only in the game (as a party member) for 2 months or so before it ends.

Persona really needs to decouple new party members from dungeons. It just leads to really late, and largely irrelevant party members.

They should take a leaf out of the book of the better of the Final Fantasy games.

Reveal your entire party within the first 30% of the game so you have some time to hang out with them, develop their characters and actually use them in battle.

It also means you can open up your dungeons to multiple strategies and affinities because you have a greater range of characters to deal with them.
