Cosmetic microtransations serve only as bait to the weak willed. They do have a place in a free to play game like HotS for example, but they have no place being in a game you've already paid money for.

On the topic of HotS, you can get loads of their loot chests from just leveling up heroes, you get a box every time you get a hero level and better ones at thresholds of 25 or something along those lines.
