It was a solid atmospheric game with a pretty interesting story. The gameplay, though repetitive, was a neat enough gimmick for me to have fun through the entire game.
Overall, I tend to remember games for their overall "feel" or atmosphere, and this game excels in the category.
7/10 would play again

what's wrong with it? i mean it was no masterpiece but it was kind of neat.
>>377608862
Story was ok,everything else from gameplay to models/textures was below average.
DLC did it better.
Sequel made it worse.
>>377607496
A perfect example of a game that was praised because it was exclusive. Once it's lost that exclusivity became an average, at best, game.

>defending this piece of shit """"""""game"""""'''
Haha, nope.
it was ok
imagine if someone took deadly premonition and made the gameplay twice as good in exchange for making everything else four times worse
fog effects looked good and runs like butter on toasters
>>377609054
textures were fine and pretty impressive for when the game came out. It's the models and facial animations that were fucked.
>>377609285
more of a game than most games that come out nowadays
that game has great atmosphere and fog effects
Fight me

I went back and tried to play it recently its garbage nowadays but was interesting when it first came out of which it was mostly hated on by people
light gimmick was shit,fite me

It was nice because it had a new approach
For me personally, it suffered from that I tried to play it as a fps, lighting and shooting all ghosts and shit. That kind of killed the horror atmosphere for me and I quickly lost interest. I rewalize it's my own fault.
I have a duracell fetish thanks to this game
