MMMMMMMMM
Really make you think
>>377599776
I will make it happen. Probably won't get a liscense, but I will just make something close to it.
>>377600284
Elaborate.
>>377599776
Let's give it couple of generations, so we can get those destruction mechanics right.
>>377600254
>2017
>Still no BLAME! Souls
It's not fair
>>377600517
Would be closer to armoured core in terms of gameplay desu
Still waiting
>>377600326
It's just a goal born out of being disappointed with what it is currently available on the market.
>>377600937
You didn't really elaborate.
At least we got a blame game already
i'm fine with that at least
>>377601560
How would that work? Max Payne 3 with jiu-jitsu mechanics?
This was memed constantly when the show was running but it really DOES lend itself perfectly to a Platinum game in almost every way.
>>377599776
Oh, I remember buying the first volume of this years ago and totally forgot about it after reading it. Should I look it up again?
>>377601621
Max Payne 3 + Sleeping Dogs
>>377601697
Fuck, forgot picture
>>377601785
I'd rather you mixed Max Payne with a good game.
>>377601560
max payne + yakuza
>>377600782
could be fun
>>377601785
sounds about right
i d also love some proper modern game for pic. related
>>377601780
most def

Then, how about what >>377601854 said?
>>377599776
>>377601842
Because it had hype as fuck songs, an edgy mc, Mad World tier characters and a cool rival. It was pretty much a Platinum anime.

I plan to pitch an in depth game design to a studio and try to get it made at some point.
I got about 1500 pages worth of excel sheets, describing the project down to the smallest detail. It's still missing most of the writing though.
Basically it will be:
>3rd person action rpg
>predefined, semi-open world (no procedural generation, even though that might sound good for blame)
>everything is limted, i.e. limited amount of enemies, experience, resources, consumables etc.
>death mechanic is similar to souls games, but no respawn of defeated groups of enemies, though not completely defeated enemies will 'regenerate' --> the player can't cheese through encounters bit by bit, but he also doesn't have to kill and grind the same shit over and over again
>melee and ranged combat will be equal, by implementing a new style of ranged combat, that way the player has an atual choice and more replay value
>melee combat is similar to nioh
>game features factions, cybors, silicion beings, megastructure guards, new style humans, AIs etc.
>player is an artificial human, that uses mass (health) and energy (endurance / mana)
>weapons can be pure physical, own energy powered (kinda like spells), auxilary energy powered (self propelled for example)
>collecting resources and crafting will play a major role to progress
That's the gist of it. Basically Dark Souls / Nioh meets Gothic in a megastructure. And if the guy who wrote blame doesn't want to cooperate, I will just name things a bit differently and it's a go.

mr. zucchini is a cool guy and he doesnt afraid of anything
ITT: Things people like, regardless of whether it can be adapted to a video game medium at all.
Like, I like Nihei's work as well, but most of his stuff would make a pretty shit video game. I do agree, that Biomega would be a better setting than Blame, though.
Adaptations need to cut corners in order to fit the new medium, sometimes losing what made the originals great in the process.
>>377603712
>but most of his stuff would make a pretty shit video game
Dark Souls + BLAME! aesthetic is all you need
>>377599776
Open-world, adventure/explorationKemono Friendsgame where you can exploreJapari Park in its entiretywhen?
>>377604421
Blame visual aesthetic comes from sketch-like drawing style that doesn't translate into 3d very well. See Polygon's adaptation of Sidonia and Blame.
The atmosphere of Blame comes from huge locations, sense of loneliness and understanding of the fact that nothing goes on with the characters for very long time. They just walk. Hell, they've spend 150 or so years sleeping in an elevator trying to get to the unofficial megastructure.
This stuff doesn't work well with games. You need interactivity for games to be fun. Either some sort of climbing mechanics to engage player in exploration, or add some enemies here and there.
In any case, that wouldn't be Blame anymore.
Biomega could work as an MGR-like hack and slash game, but with more guns. Sidonia could be a decent space flight sim. But Blame just doesn't work well in game format.

>But Blame just doesn't work well in game format.
I dunno, I think maybe if you set the game in a big city like the first one we see in the manga, you could make something interesting. Yeah it would probably not have the same sense of loneliness, but if could serve as an opportunity to explore a different aspect of the world.
