I've tried an S7, iPhone 6s and HTC 10 and an LG 5 All claimed to have great audio, which isn't untrue, they do sound better than a shitty bargin bin phone.

But there is no noticeable difference between MP3 and FLAC on a pair of nearly $400 headphones on those phones. Smartphone DACs cost pennies, every autistic audiophile I know tells me they can tell the difference on their phone because some retarded headfi poster told them they could. Doing a blind test they are wrong 50% of the time.
