I just don't understand this fucking combo system, it's like you have to fully commit to an entire string before the first hit of the string even hits, it's frustrating as fuck.
Aquaman for example, his 1123 combo, is so stupid, you have to be super fingers to do the 4 commands before the first strike hits and if not you only get the 11 which is unsafe and fucks up the flow. the first 1 is so quick start up that you have to either spam buttons or be a nigger finger just to be quick enough to do the string.

I1 did not have this issue at all, I have been playing it for the last few months too.

On top of all this there is immense grinding for every char, or paying the jew microtransactions, and then immense grinding for gear, it's stupid.
I haven't even touched online, I know it will be cancerous as fuck

I have a simple solution: play more defensive and don't focus on overly long combos too much. Especially online you don't stand a chance with them unless you're really really good. Works for me so far.

No string in the entire game is long, 6-7 buttons max
there isn't that many chars that can do super long combos anyway, flash, catwoman etc.
aquaman is a defensive char anyway but he punishes and relies on chip.
Its just this 1 combo has a quick start up and 4 buttons so you have to be super fast and do the entire string before the first move hits. It's not like MK for example where you do the next command after the previous hits, you have to dial in the entire string at once.
I1 never had this, it was like any fightan game.

Also I don't aim for massive combos I try for save combos and mix up starters. Aquaman and batman are my go to safe chars.

no that deadshot is a major issue, he has insane chip, whiffing the shots give him infinite meter then he has insane pushback which he can use on you to push you back from creeping up on his zoning, and the hand cannon is too fast for simple jumping over the shots.
