How well would Geralt survive in the Dark Souls universe?
Pretty well until he meet an enemy with a pitchfork
>>377584182
gibbed not even half way through
>>377584182
He stomps with signs alone
Well enough, considering all the bonfires giving him opportunity to properly prepare
>>377584182
Poorly.
Considering that he can pull off a dive-roll pretty well, he'd be unstoppable.
>>377584182
I'd say he'd do a pretty decent job. He has the signs that could make the game EZ mode for him, slowing enemies down, so he can unload on them. If you could half the speed of all the bosses, the game would be piss EZ.
Remember, the MC of Dark souls isn't strong, he just can't stay dead. I feel geralt has the actual skill to make it to all the bonfires in one piece, and using a sign on a boss would ensure victory.
Also, he has a medallion which would sense any of that stupid artificial difficulty enemies hiding around corners and laying in wait with traps.
How well would the Dark Souls universe survive with Geralt in it?
>>377584182
Game Geralt, assumingly?
He'll trash most common mobs and can handle most bosses, considering the ashen one/chosen undead doesn't really do anything a normal person can't do
>but the chosen undead has soul power
Beating the game with SL1 deprived isn't even difficult, as long as he found proper equipment and upgraded it Geralt could do fine
The Dark Souls universe can be beaten by a naked person wielding a ladle, Geralt will be fine
>>377584563
They can block ridiculous attacks from things the size of an elephant and swing weapons that are 5 times their body weight. Pretty sure the whole not dying thing is only one of the supernatural things Souls protags can do.
>>377584182
With alchemy hed stomp every boss without effort.
I played a 'Geralt' character build in Dark Souls 3.
2h the straight sword of your choice, buy lots of throwing knives, utilize a lot of pyromancy to replicate the signs, pick a light armor that vaguely looks like something Geralt would wear, and you're set. Pretty much do this in all the games, hell even Bloodborne to some degree.
It's a viable build, and the actual Geralt's job is dealing with Dark Souls creatures and scenarios, he'd do just fine.
>>377584676
>implying Geralt is a block shitter
Luckily Geralt already abuses the shit out of iframes in witcher 3
He can jump and climb - he's overqualified for Drangleic.
he has unlimited rolling
>>377584748
Also, forgot to mention, the actual Geralt would also have tools Dark Souls characters would never have access to, like his potions, traps, etc.
He also has better bombs, self heals over time, and is genre savvy enough to see right through people like Patches in an instant.
>>377584563
>Beating the game with SL1 deprived isn't even difficult, as long as he found proper equipment and upgraded it Geralt could do fine
You forgot that undeads kind of can't die.
Geralt has 1 life so one error and it's over.
Geralt goes hollow in an hour and serves as a few souls for a low leveled player character early in the game
He'll die to Anor Londo archers or O&S
Nito would suck the life out of him
His pirouettes are essentially faster rolls that can end with a devastating sword strike, so he'll do good against most enemies.
He can roll. It's fine.
What now you piece of filth?
>>377585536
It's ok. He don't need DLC to finish the game.
>>377585770
What about those guys in the archives with tridents? It's pretty close to a pitchfork
>>377584182
I believe garalt would do well against common enemies and smaller bosses but he would get fucked by anything as big as the gaping dragon for example. Also smough and ornstein would probably fuck him up too.
>>377585168
Nito ravages anything that's not dead, he'd probably die at that point as this anon points out.
Since he isnt undead he cannot use bonfires, so he would have to bring a lot of potions.
>>377585943
He's killed shit as big as the gaping dragon before though.
Book or game?
Book Geralt gets destroyed.
Game Geralt probably does okay, Depends if he is brought back to life after death.
>>377584182
Better question, who would win in a fight, Geralt or The Hunter? My money is on The Hunter.
>>377585042
Welcome to how unrealistic 99% of games are.
>>377584242
deep cuts
>>377586494
Even better question: Geralt or Bonhart?
>>377584534
best post
>>377584182
There are too many traps in Dark Souls. If he has one life he's fucked. Probably at Sens's Rapehouse.
>>377586213
What's the biggest thing Geralt has killed? I only played the games and I don't recall anything bigger than the Kayran
>>377584242
i get it
>>377584242
lol he's a witcher not a witch
>>377584748
I did one for DS2 when that came out
really should do a Geralt build in DS3, could be fun

>>377587375
Read the books, you will get it after.
>>377584242
Also thank you, you made me laugh
>>377584182
He dies to Seathe's scripted death
>>377584676
Geralt has a shield sign, which can block mostly anything.
>>377584182
No Darksign = bad time
>>377584563
>considering the ashen one/chosen undead doesn't really do anything a normal person can't do
Except wielding fuckhuge weapons without problems.
>>377586494
Hunter got a shotgun, a cannon or a chaingun.
>>377584182
i assume he has no flask and does not revive at bonfires so he's pretty much fucked literally first boss since dark souls is hard for people who have no idea what they're doing (geralt of rivia lmao)
>>377584182
The bridge dragon would end him pretty early on
>>377589006
why would he need estus when he can brew potions and meditate, he took down a dragon before also griffons and shit worse than the first boss
>>377586615
I'd go for Geralt since Ciri managed him, and was less good at swordsmanship compared to geralt (a few years of training at most vs about a hundred years on the path). She did got lucky to fight Bonhart on the perfect conditions for his demise, though.
>>377586494
nothing the hunter can do against a axii then a backstab
>>377588918
geralt has a pause menu
>>377584182
Well, he would be a hollow, as that is how humans are in that world. With his skills, he would probably be able to gain good weapons and armor. Then he could gather more souls. But, he would lose his souls. All of them. Over and over again.
Unless Geralt was a significant lore character in the series, he would simply be another hollow. Just a little more peculiar one. A lot stronger than the average.
A more interesting question is how Geralt would fare in Bloodborne. As the Witcher series and Bloodborne have a lot more common ground. Monsters from foreign dimensions and all.
>>377589339
No, you got a pause menu.
>>377589357
he isn't a human though, he is a mutant, non humans don't get cursed
>>377584748
I did a Ciri build, breddy fun
>>377584563
have you seen the way a souls character rolls?
>>377586494
the hunter has a gun so probably him
>>377585042
SL 1 no death runs are pretty common
>>377589806
Bullshit.
>>377589195
>he took down a dragon
every dark souls protagonist kills at least three dragons
>>377589857
you can kill four kings at level 1 without even dodging
The only hard part of SL1 is bed of bullshit
>>377590503
Only Dark Souls 1 protag can kill 3 dragons
Dark Souls 2 and 3 can only kill one
who would win geralt or 1 punch man if he had no arms
>>377588640
or you know, play the game and watch the recap thingo
>>377584182
And i think pretty well, played through on death march and that shit reminded me of souls and a lot of the time i was wishing i was playing with souls controls/fighting system in that world, would be sweet
>>377584182
Geralt is a literal superhuman with both better equipment and more skill at fighting at the beginning than any single souls protagonist, while also casting mind control spells and potentially fighting enemies in slow motion with Yrden.
And since he can actually climb, he might not even need to fight any of the bosses to finish the game.
>>377592379
How about armless one punch man vs goku
>>377584182
He will be fucked. The reason he is so strong in the witcher universe is because he and all the other witchers have studied the monsters of the world for +20 years. Geralt would do fine against hollow dudes but when he meets a monster? No oils or potions will work, he wont know which bomb to use nor how to fight it.
