I beat him using only this to see if I could, I felt dirty afterwards. His hitboxes are wonky so his back legs let you charge it up fully without getting hit and then it literally staggers him. If you time it right, you can stagger lock him. I did the exact same thing to Amelia.

I like Souls games but strafing behind giants and attacking their ankles is getting old as fuck. BB was no different.

I did like Vicar Amelia, with all of her bandages strewn in the air, being behind him/her was unsettling as fuck, despite it being the safest spot.

What I mean is bullets are in constant supply, you can just buy them. So it's never a waste to use the bone when it looks so fucking cool. I also prefer not using guns to parry because the melee combat is so much more fun. You don't have to use every mechanic available to you just because it's there.

I want better gems though >_> trust me, I wouldnt dick around in those things without a reason, but the repetitiveness of it is wearing me thin along with the common enemies that they buffed to shit. No point making enemies that start scaling when your stats get hit my diminished returns after a certain level. Its pretty much me only getting buffed by 1 point in my stats towards enemies whose stats are buffed 5 or 10 points higher. I like the challenge but there is a thing called making it too hard.

Besides getting the timing right to parry on a boss you can is fun, and you can't parry everything
Nothing will match the feeling of having no vials or bullets left on Maria and sacrificing my last dredges of health to get 5 bullets and landing the parry to win

The weapons are simply just different gem slot versions of the weapons you already have, I found a saw cleaver but I not gonna do anything with it cause my saw cleaver you start with is already maxed out. The new bosses are fun yeah, but I feel like they're proto bosses that didnt make in the main game so they just decided to slap them in the dungeon and buff them to almighty fuck.

It's just more fun to fight with pure melee. I used guns on alts eventually but my first few playthroughs were melee only. It's not like parrying is necessary for any fights when you can dodge so quickly. There's nothing wrong with using all the tools available to you, I was talking about people who just wait for an attack and press L2 and then claim the game is easy.

Chalice dungeons don't scale with NG+ and depth 4 and 5 dungeons are stronger than even endgame NG enemies. Don't push yourself too hard trying to beat them yet. I only did the first 3 Ptumeru chalices (not counting roots), each at different points of my NG run and that was plenty. I got a few +10% physical damage from the first one and by the time I beat the game, I had a +18% physical on each slot in my weapon. I'm pretty sure one of those was one of those that fit in any kind of slot that I got in the final area of the game.
