Scizzor blade was tons of fun at the cost of ruining your score. Well maybe I could have got a good score if I compensated by crushing more spines but watching the exact same animation of him doing that and doing the same little QTE 5000 times isn't my idea of fun.

Good balance imo

Senator Armstrong is my favorite final boss of any game. It was so great an unexpected, especially after the generic giant mecha fight that felt like it was going to be the game's final boss.

Scizzor blade only had like 2 attacks on the floor and 1 in the air, the pully thing only had 1 move but the other one had a nice moveset.
Scizzor blade was much more fun despite the tiny moveset since you could just trade blows with bosses and win and that's just cool

It was more interactive cutscene than fight. You mostly just got into the right location for the next QTE to start and then maybe hit him for 1 or 2 combos and watched as he didn't care because it wasn't in a QTE

Vanquish has QTEs as well. Mostly just for cinematic stuff in bosses. There's button mashing for "quick melee attacks" during these scenes and also some stick twirling.
