Not OP but it's a genuinely fun game with an interesting storyline if you haven't been spoiled already. Characters were fun, decent music, kind of a neat way of implementing combat, etc etc.

Mr. Resetti

Imagine going your whole life bitching at villagers who don't save their file before they end their gaming session.
Mind you this is his entire career, it's what he does for a living.
Then one day he loses his job.
Villagers come in, don't save afterwards, and he can't even do anything about it.
So villagers don't give a fuck about saving and all Mr. Resetti can do is watch.
Then finally one villager moves in, improves the city, brings revenue to the city, and develops new buildings and such.
One that can even give Mr. Resetti his job back.
But the Villager knows who he is and he's like, "fuck that guy, I ain't supporting him getting his job back."
So Mr. Resetti can't bring any bread home to the family as his wife and kids leave him because no one wants to employ Mr. Resetti.
Mr. Resetti had a hard life.

It's better blind, and it also depends on what you think about these types of games in general. A lot of parts in the game shoot for easy feels that try to be relatable to more socially awkward people.

If you don't find it that funny or engaging it might not be for you, otherwise give it a a shot and try to avoid getting spoiled.

I haven't played it since 2015, but I believe the fanbase and hatebase lowered my opinion of it. I thought it was incredible when it came out, a 10/10, but now I'd give it a 7 at max.

The Monster kingdom is really really big. You only see a small fraction of it in the game due to practicality.
But there is a massive metropolis in there, as seen by the massive bridge you traverse at the end of the game.

Asgore never wanted to kill anyone, he was just mad with grief at the time of his declaration of war. The real problem was that he promised a war with humanity once they escaped and everyone in the underground was hyped for it, but not only did Asgore not want to go through with it once he came to his senses, but if they DID, the monsters would be completely wiped out because monsters are weak as hell.
