The game doesn't seem to have much too it but it's growing to have quite a following with it's characters and who knows, it could end up selling like splatoon. I remember when I thought splatoon was just going to be bargin bin shovelware only selling 100k.

The last two are the most obvious things that should be included to give the game at least some depth. What we got is shit in a pretty package.

I've played it for more than like three hours straight when the nintendo demos were up in select locations. It was really fun, but so is every single game ever the first three hours. I already started to feel the lack of depth though. Attacks automatically hone in on your opponents for the most part so spacing doesn't really exist. Characters rarely have any real sense of individuality. Sure there are certain things characters can do that others can't, and some characters have unique gloves that others don't (Its really sad that even the gloves aren't unique to individual fighters most of the time) but for the most part, considering they haven't really changed anything major in the gameplay since then, its not really very good. Looks like a lot of the gameplay is just going to be about counterpicking the right stage/character/loadout and just letting your beyblades basically fight each other considering theres really not much "outplaying" you're gonna be doing when high level gameplay is just gonna be who can guess correctly or get a lucky hit in.

I mean it was fun, but I was already starting to get bored of it in the end. Matches started feeling incredibly repetitive and like most of what mattered was just getting lucky in the neutral or guessing right in the wake up game. The rest was just straight up us fucking up simple shit because we fucked up waggle controls or because of simple inexperience.There isn't much room to outplay folks when your options are just too limited and every attack basically homes in on your opponents. All that seems to matter in this game is that you have good movement, and you keep guessing right on the wakeups.

Is that why I spent my entire day playing arms there when I could have touched any other demo such as breath of the wild, but I didn't even bother to? I was the only guy in there that spent literally the entire day on the arms booth like an autist because I was hoping it was the next big thing, but to my dismay, no matter how much I try to convince myself otherwise, this game just has no depth anon. I'd love to be proven wrong, I will smile with all of you if it turns out to have a huge lively scene a year from now even if I get screencaped into the wall of shame after the fact.
