750w EVGA PSU
GTX 980
I5 6600k
Post your cases
Put together last August. Was my first as well.
>>377519048
I just posted it. At the time I took that photo I was too pumped up that I forgot to include my baby (she's on top of case box) :,( don't worry. I show her much love. She still holds up great today
Here's a speecy, built in October, upgraded to a 1080 after the price drop. Games are losing their magic, so feels meh.
>>377519094
How do you route the VGA cables on the EVGA PSU's? I just got a EVGA 1070 with 2x8 pin and I can't find a way to put the 2 6pin cables out of the way of the GPU.
>>377518946
>goy5
Lmao.
>>377519112
I like simple designs
>>377519112
That's the case I would of bought if I hadn't discovered NZXT. Now I'm loyal to them till the end. They're stylish, come with pretty nice case fans, offer plenty of room for even the beefiest GPU's, and they're moderately priced.
>>377519287
Sometimes I wish all these people who go
>Oh I bought a x700k CPU and a 1080ti with 16gb of ram but I don't play videogames anymore
would just throw some of their apparently useless shit at me
>>377519418
Funny, I had a 1080ti and a 4k monitor for like a month. Then I was like "fuck it, this sucks" so I sold both of 'em. I'll sell you this rig for a grand.
>>377519490
I already have like 80% of a computer though
>I fell for the AMD meme

>>377519558
Do you have 2 480's with crossfire disabled?
>>377519330
Wat
>>377519409
6 years and absolutely no regrets, right now I might consider a Fractal Design or a silent Corsair Carbide case, but not necessarily looking to make a new build any time soon.
>>377519651
I assume he was calling out the i5.
>>377519616
Would gladly if I hadn't just built most of mine, just looking on a good sale for some more parts. That's a good steal for $1k.
>>377519586
Alot of research went into what mobo I should buy. I had a really tough choice deciding. But this has been great to me, very little bloatware, and it has a simple BIOS
>>377519708
I'm enjoying my S340 because it's easy to access the PCIE/Fans and MOBO and clean stuff, but the PSU basement is a tangled fucking mess no matter what I do because I'm running 2 2.5" drives, making the SATA cords and power a mess.
>>377518946
I'm too shy to post it
be gentle
>>377519908
It's okay, AMD owners are welcome here too.
>>377519724
Why? I5's are great for gaming. The Skylakes are pretty Damn good. However than can be pretty fragile. You gotta be careful when putting on the heatsink .
>>377519908

>one year
I built my first (and current) PC almost 6 years ago. The only think i changed was the 660ti for a 1070 last yesr.
I5 2500k is a miracle worker.
>>377519729
They'll happen, you're sol if you're trying to buy ram though. Hell at 79.99 for my 16gb of 3200 ddr4 I though I was getting ripped off. How times have changed.
>>377519367
Got a similar case, but I'm waiting to buy a Fractal case
those are beautiful

Hmm what is this program? Is this something that's related to AMD? I just use Geforce Experience and that shows me my specs
>>377520347
Literally tells you in the picture.

I understand that. I just what a consensus on its purpose. Everyone else here seems to use. Just wondering if it's worth downloading
>>377520457
So? Before I built my desktop I was using a dual-core i5 laptop with 2x4GB ram and had slowdown on PPSSPP
Even a fucking desktop Pentium is stronger than that
>>377519638
Is not disabled, It uses crossfire in some games
A lot of games run like shit on crossfire
>>377520457
Well why not? You can get a 970 for dirt cheap now a days. It's pretty good for 1080p/60fps
This 290 is a fucking god tier GPU for 1080p. loving my 7600k also.

S340? Did it come like that?
I had a stuttering exhaust fan in my S340 and I contacted them and they sent me two 140mm free. Used the second to pull in air from the front.

Just get a cheap used one for under 100 or so, you could at least play older 3D games then
>>377521117
no, it was my fault. I know it happened sometime when scerewing everything down or setting up my PC but I'm not sure exactly when. I'm probably gonna get another at some point
>>377521001
I truly hope this is sarcasm. I only shoot for 1080p/60fps and every triple A title since I've bought this thing can be maxed out. So it does what I want it to do.
>>377520530
>Everyone else here seems to use.
>Just wondering if it's worth downloading
Guess
>>377521284
That's surprising, those metal frames are usually pretty hard to bend, and it's not like the SSD is that heavy.
>>377518946
Built this about last July, first build ever and I'm really happy with it, but the side panel got a scratch, is there any way to replace the panel? (It's a NZXT h440)
>>377521338
Thanks douchebag I'll download it
>>377521406
Glass or plastic? Probably no way to fix that. It's such a small inconvenience I wouldn't worry about it man
Built it 3.5 years ago, swapped GTX760 for RX480 and bought 8 more gigs of ram since.
>>377518946
more like 10 year anniversary. m i rite
>>377521727
This is right after gaming, right now my idle temp for my my 1080 is 30C
>>377521727
Why two 144hz monitors? Do you game on both or something?
>>377521504
It's plastic, and yeah, it's really really small and at first I thought I wouldn't care that much, but after some time, it started bugging me everytime I looked through the panel

Personally, I think that the 480 is a great value/perf card. As for CF/SLI, with DX12 and Vulkan and mGPU becoming more common, we are seeing a lot more games adopting it and that number is going to increase in the foreseeable future. We are seeing a lot of games actually taking advantage of that nowadays and the GPU scaling is yielding fantastic and unprecedented results nowadays.
Now, I hate being an advocate of AMD Just Waitâ„¢ technology, but it does look to me like it's got potential that's just starting to get utilized. It does require more effort from developers, though.

R4 Reporting in
This computer has a long history all the way back to a 2600k and first H100 Liquid cooler
Just recently I did CPU/GPU/PSU/Motherboard/HDD upgrades
Oh and finally 4K monitor
>>377522668
meant to type more
AOC 4K 28 inch monitor - $160
Asus Z97 AR - Free
i7 4790k - $140
(2) 3tb Hitachi HDD's - $30
1070 Seahawk X 8gb - $340
RM750 Gold PSU - $60
I got really lucky with this upgrade
I'm liking the 1600X, couldn't have ran this many programs at once on my old shit. Need to get a new graphics card soon.
>>377521418
Fuck off if you can't decide things for yourself
>>377518946

>>377521353

forgot pic, also the new BIOS looks absolutely horrific but it fixed the voltage problem with the CPU
>>377520767
> 3 gig 1080ti
166 MHz of fury with 128 MB of RAM, a Matrox Millennium with 2 MB of WRAM and assorted goodies. I really should get that S3 video card for smoother scrolling in DOS games, I did consider a 3D accelerator but I'm not going ot bother since I have a Slot 1 system coming in next month.
>>377524501
Unecessary
I bought this like 5 years ago.
>>377519112
It was part of a combo sale, back when Scan.co.uk used to a lot of pretty good sales.
I'm on the edge about whether I should build a new system with the Fractal Design Define Mini C, or just wait another year.
How's the rx 470/i3 6100 ?
>>377525768
Get a G4560 Pentium if you have to go low-end. The latest ones are basically as strong as the i3 and have hyperthreading for like $60.
Had a scare recently with my watercooling pump failing.
>>377525874
I already bought them before I knew about pentium. If I wanted to upgrade which gpu/cpu should I upgrade to
>>377525305
>used to a lot
used to have a lot*
>>377526280
I'm a full week into my Ryzen build and I'm very happy with it.
Built this just about 2 years ago.
The case is a Fractal Design Define S which I really like.
This is the second pc I've built.
My first was back in 2010.
Needs a new GPU but I think I will be good on CPU and MoBo for at least 2 more years.
>>377526763
why wouldn't you OC?
>>377518946
>Post your builds /v/
Barely anything changed in the past 4 years.
- i5 4690
Not much to say. It's the non-K, since I don't care much about overclocking and don't need it.
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
Too lazy to look up clock and CL
- A nearly decade old Thermaltake
- 3.5GB VRAM cripple
I can't wait to replace it with a Vega card FUCKING ASAP, but AMD keeps everybody waiting.
My monitor is a GW2460HM, which I'm really happy with. However, with the new graphics card I'm also going to get a freesync 144hz 27" 1440p monitor. Not exactly sure which one, but I'd prefer another (AH)VA, since it's a good mixture between TN and IPS from my experience.
lol

Bought on 2014
R9 290, added watercooling.
I7 4770k
3tb hdd + 256gb ssd
8gb ram
Corsair 250D small case.
Still very happy. Played the Witcher 3 on ultra quality settings at 45 - 50fps at 1920x1200. (No hairworks).
Not planning to upgrade anytime soon.
