That's the problem with clones in general

It's made by people who clearly have no understanding of what made the original work and only know the thing they're copying at a surface level. Rarely are these teams lead by people who are die hard fans of what they're ripping off.

Haven't played since before the bigger worlds thing hit (like 6+ months) but back than durability dropped on everything like fucking mad and classes just meant each had a different weapon and didn't feel that different. Stopped playing because it felt like I spent the bulk of my time repairing my tools and weapons.
Hopefully that changed.

I tried refunding but it didnt work out oh well
