I remember playing an RTS once, it was base in china I think, remember it being super slow (maybe the computer couldnt run it properly at the time) and I remember one of the features being that you find doors and it transport you to a completly different area. like a new map, and then you had to worry about having multiple minimaps.
Also, there was another RTS, which was cartoony looking, and it was about vickings, I remember that the way to develop troops you had to make kids first, and you put women and men in their houses to make them, then they grow, and you could train them.... or at least I remember it like that.

after checking some gameplay, im not sure if it is.... It look more 2d than I remember, and moving fast throw me off...
But it look to have that thing of the multiple minimaps, so maybe?
im not 100% sure.

The only game with a similar multiple minimap system that I know of is an old Russian Warcraft clone, called Opдa: Цитaдeль (Herde: Citadel).
