I guess it's lacking compared to, say, Dragon's Dogma, but I think the real problem is just the specialization choices. Templar's special is a touch spell, and Champion is just hot garbage. Reaver seems sort of varied, at least.

DA:O's warriors were not weighty, they swung their swords like foam swords. Slow=/=weighty and it's far from realistic when 2 handed weapons should be just as fast as 1 handers considering you're using two fucking hands. None of the swings feel powerful because it takes 2 years to bring a sword down. Only sword and board looked good.

Compare that swing to the swings in DA:O. DA:O warriors look like they're about to trip with every swing. It looks comical and it looks devoid of any weight or power because it looks like the main force behind your attacks is gravity instead of your muscles.

And it's not just specs, it's the base talents too. There is barely anything to do as a warrior other than auto attack because stamina can only be regenerated by time and half the talents are passives or upkeep. Rogues get a variety of debuffs and positional gameplay, mages get full bars and a lyrium potions to keep them going, whereas warriors just stand there.

And giving Isabela to the Arishok (one of the best characters to ever come to this franchise) changes nothing in the long run, but is a peaceful resolution to the growing conflict.Thing is you may grow to like her.
You should choose before even starting whether you want to purge the qunari or get them to fuck off out of Kirkwall. If the latter, be honest with the Arishok always, and never bow down to him, show him strength.

And from what I've seen over the years, the companions look annoying, especially Isabela who memes and is another sex crazed 1-dimensional character like Zefran was (for the most part).
