4 years later I'm still playing it. Its a shame my favorite class (loader) literally hurts to play. My fingers just cant keep up with the spam especially when he's got massive attack speed.

Sure, we can always use another member. Its a small community on 360, you can usually get a full game at just the right times, but anything else and it'll be like a 6 or 7 v 7. Coming into it at this point will be hard though, as the main players are veterans who abuse vehicles, and the controls are different from your standard shooter, even by 2008 standards.

Why I like it over the second, and subsequent BFs:

>perfect maps
>high ttk, will be odd at first but feels gratifying how you have to use cover efficiently
>unlock system
>graphics are kind of grainy, gloomy color palette gives the whole thing a darker vibe
>but the narrators and characters counterbalance with superb voice acting and dialogue
>sound is impeccable, better than the second I would say
>unrivaled smoke effects, there is plumes of dust flying in after an air strike or barrage, the black dust when a vehicle explodes feels grimy
>weapons and movement are weighty, most notable in the shotguns, snipers, and lmgs
>shotguns don't feel useless like most shooters
>classes are diverse and balanced very well
>can remake an authentic ww1 experience with endless artillery and craters using an easy glitch

There's just an insane amount of detail and polish in the entire thing, its hard not to love it. BC2 is fantastic as well, but BC1 is why I still pay for Xbox Live Gold and use my 360. I suspect the game will get a healthy population boost once it inevitably becomes BC on the Xbox One. However, there is also a well rounded and hilarious single player. Big sand box levels, fantastic cast and premise, collectibles. It serves as a fun backdrop to the settings, tone of the game, as well as learning the controls and movement.

Its just a masterpiece, alright mate?

That's why you effectively use terrain and the environment for cover, as well as having a big arsenal of grenades and grenade launcher rounds to chuck over. But I understand, I have a few friends who think exactly like you do and couldn't get into it. I guess it really is one of those its either for you or not type of games. BC2, being dumbed down, is a lot easier to get into and appreciate.

I wish it was on PC. I really disliked all of the changes in 2 and the player-base for 1 swiftly died off leaving high ping servers and hackers.
