I was going to go for rx 580 but I got a super nice deal on a 1060, I find that theres more frequent offers on nvidia cards at least around here.

500 series is literally an overclocked 400 series. If you know how to overclock on your own, you will get the same performance out of the 400 series cards. Just get what's cheaper which is the 400 series because people scalp/hoard new gpus.

AMD cards suck, lol. It's always: "wait for [XXXX]! This is it! This is gonna be the GPU/CPU to finally put AMD on the map again!"

The 1060 was made as an answer to the 470 yet it goes toe to toe with the 480. You can make an argument for the 580, I guess... it's not much better though.

Why is it that AMD can't optimize games for shit but my old laptop with Nvidia can play those same games and optimize them no problem

Guys I have an R7 370 and it can't play games without lagging or freezing. My laptop had a Nvidia card (can't remember which) but it'd play games no problem.

What the fuck is wrong with AMD?
