Don't even get me started. I can even deal to the character being black - it pisses me off, but if it's a truly spectacular movie like the books were, it'd be fine. But every fucking scene in the trailer is wrong. It's fucking -wrong.- It's wrong from a firearms standpoint. It's wrong from a practical effects standpoint. It's wrong from an action movie standpoint. The dialog sounds weak as fuck, and there's a goddamn child actor in the fucking movie. I think Halo of all things would have benefited from this.

There's so much good stuff in the books that wouldn't work well in a game or a movie, but would be perfect for an episodic direct to stream service like netflix.

I could easily see the fall of reach adapted into 3, 7-10 episode seasons, for example.

both expansions are awesome. hearts of stone is shorter, i got 14hrs or so out of it trying to do everything, but if you rushed it might be 10hrs.

blood and wine is much bigger and adds a whole new area. the story is fun, the area is very colorful, bloomy. its a good contrast to the swamps around velen. i'd gauge the total time around 25-30 hours.
