I can't tell you about any advice for getting a "console killer" PC, because it's so dependant on where you live and what parts you can get for a good price used, but even if it turns out to be more expensive in the start it's more cost efficient in the long run in my experience. Better sales (or piracy if desired) and free online are the 2 biggest ones. That and, with the right rig, you can get a significantly better experience graphics and fps-wise than you would on a console.

As for quality the PC has it in spades. The best games I've played each year since the beginning of the PC's existence are available on my PC. I don't need to pay money to "rent" games I've already paid for, I don't need to buy them again, and instead of a large portion of my library being useless, I can still play my favorite games, even the ones from the DOS era. Quite frankly the PC has more quality and quantity than the PS4 will ever have.

Look, I sympathize with you. One of my favorite games of all time is Starfox 64. I love it, but when I go back to it, I notice the slowdown in the game. If that shit happened in one of the games you play today, you would be pissed. At the end of the day, I'm going to cut the console made in like 199fuck some slack, because it tried to push the standards for its time. The gamecube did the same thing.
