be honest /v/, memes and shittery aside, which was the last game you played that you actually enjoyed playing?
I played some Splatoon yesterday, it was fun
Prey

Planet Robobot was fun. I felt like the bosses where a little dry but they more than made up for it with the stages and the orgasmic final boss.
I got curious expedition in the humble bundle and its kindafun

Played some TF2 today. It's fun. I enjoy making fun cosmetic loadouts and the gameplay is fun and great too.

A lot of games scratch the 'power fantasy' itch (God Of War 3 is the high-water-mark for me), but since you brought up FTL, there's something to be said for a tightly-designed game that doesn't hold your hand every step of the way. Success means so much more if there is genuine RISK behind your journey -- AAA graphics and marketing don't got dick to do with that

FTL, actuallyuntil the gods of random number generation grew displeased with me

Replayed Dead Rising recently, shit was still the greatest.
I usually burn out on Harvest Moon games before the end of the first Spring, but Trio of Towns has me at the middle of the first Fall and I'm still playing.
So that's cool.
2064 ROM
Quite a fun novel game if I may say so. An also interesting setting with a variety of social themes, politics, past memories and characters.
Played 32 hours of Factorio this week.
Pretty fun.
So much fun killin natzis
Nioh

Dark Souls 3. That said I got it recently with the DLC on sale. Before that it was probably Furi.

A surprisingly effective mix of old-school FPS and plot-driven AAA spectacle [/pimp]

Factorio
Nioh. The only thing I dislike about it is the lack of missions and areas per region.
Wish they'd expand more on the monster hunter aspects of it.

Bastion. On NG+ right now at Jawson Bog. Once I hit Tasal Terminals and get all weapons upgraded fully I'll be ready to ten-idol the last three dream sequences, then start Score Attack. Once I get all the achievs, that'll be the end of that and I can throw myself at Hotline Miami 2.
God Hand, played it for the first time last week, wasn't expecting it to be so great.

If you savescum with the savefiles, you'll notice that every single travel node event is predetermined and not random. Some encounters will always fuck you over, some will always reward you, etc. The only things that are random in FTL are the enemy ship attacks and shop stores. Which means that yes, you can savescum shops to get what you need - but the fact is is that once you learn to savescum FTL, it becomes the right way to even play the game.

Nu-Prey is really fucking fun, and more challenging than I thought it'd be on normal. Having to do serious resource management is interesting.
After I got my steam controller tuned in properly, swordplay is both fun and exciting.
2 stage trigger commands for the win!
Crusader Kings 2 with all the DLC
BotW

>savescum FTL
A thread here convinced me to try Dying Light and I love it.
Debating whether or not to buy it since it's so old.
I stopped playing Redout twenty minutes ago and I'm still going fast.
>>377464646
Yes. Is something wrong?
Shovel Knight.
Specter is so much fun to dash around with holy fuck
>>377465563
you're gross
>>377464646
It's acceptable to savescum to unlock the crystal cruiser because otherwise the quest can take a stupidly long time.
Any other situation is cancer
Dead Cells
It's got me locked in
>>377465563
Yes.
Your existance.
>>377462276
The first Fallout. I started playing it some months ago.
>>377462276
Yoshi woolie world.
>>377462276
I don't even remember.
OG Starcraft.
Replaying Knights of The Old Republic for the first time since I was a pretty young. It's still a ton of fun despite feeling much smaller and easier than it did the first time like when I could never figure out that you could kill the rancor by baiting the body like it clearly says in the note it gives you instead of saving up for the entire game to buy enough grenades to kill it manually.
>>377462276
Crypt of the Necrodancer.
Replayed Dead Rising, shits still the greatest.
>>377462276
I hate how often in ftl you easily get to the last boss but have no chance of beating him
>>377469472
Git gud
