The issue with the YLoD is the shittastic thermal paste Sony used in phat models. Which means untimately, unless you upkeep CONSTANTLY, your phat PS3 is going to die eventually.

I'm kind of jealous. I've wanted to get one for a while to save space but I have a 509gb super slim and, miraculously, my PS2 still has a pulse so I haven't been able to justify it yet.

I got the first 60 gig ps3 and mine still runs. 10 years going this September

Its a great console OP honestly its only problems are the noise of its fan when it is old and dirty, and some inconvenients of the touch buttons, as lomg as you play digital games you should not have a problem
