Please stop the isk to real money comparison. Isk is piss easy to obtain in large amounts for alliances so the monetary value is pointless.

But they can play without subs for however much ISK they have, and you can pay real money for the ISK that comes from the sub item..

The game went downhill fast after 2008 and nowdays isn't worth recommending to anyone anymore.

On top CCP is a badly managed company and merely has been milking the game for the last bit of revenue to compensate for their bad business decisions. Try moving on and playing anything else for a change - you'll quickly realize EVE hasn't been interesting or enjoyable in a long time and you merely continue playing it out of habit.

The gameplay is still pure, fast quality for fights you know how to find (undock, anybody?), and technically you can play without paying for ships on the test server. I would recommend it over bashing Slicers against low and null security.

i'm not, because it's literally impossible to catch up to anyone who started the game before i did unless i want to spend big shekels on skill injectors
