Is there a way to see the attack the target is doing to the party member you're targeting? It'd be nice to prepare for tankbusters without using visual cues or switching to the boss.

Raids should have 4 tanks (2 in party B) and just 14 DPS.
This lets them do more interesting mechanics.

Not allowing to change role is largely pointless because dungeon instances aren't difficult enough to warrant this and real raids are basically just one boss room.

She was dumb but in a cute way, always trying to solve things by punching them as hard as possible until a "fixed" message popped on top of it. A very simple personality, but still someone enjoyable to have around.
And you could say the same about Thancred's "lack of personality", and yet they found a way to completely kill everything about him, just to create a whole new character and slap "Thancred" on top of his dialogue window.
I'm expecting some "personality changes" due to recent events, I just don't want it to be as radical as Thancred's changes. Alphinaud had a very natural character development, I just hope Not-Yda gets the same route since she will be our main travelling companion.

What's happened to him in Heavensward was a natural development of his depression about losing Louisoix and not being good enough to fill his shoes. Then his weakness was the thing that allowed him to be possessed by Lahabrea and resulted in the slaughter at the Waking Sands. Now he's lost his daughter figure that he was watching over for 15 years, stolen away and made into a puppet by the thing he was fighting to protect. His change was a gradual, realistic development of everything that he's gone through since 1.0. You just never fucking paid attention.

It feels like she already has. In 1.x and 2.x Yda was this ridiculously bubbly and almost ditsy Arcon who happened to be good at fighting. Once they shifted her to 3.x they made her a million times more serious and it was blatantly obvious in 3.4 they were killing off her ditsy side and replacing it.

By the end of 3.56 she's totally serious and now Lyse, so they basically pulled a Thancred with her.

The only "natural" part of his change was during anti-tower, when his short moment of hope became desperation and then depression.
In the end his change was justified, but it never felt "gradual", unlike Alphinaud's development.

Progression-wise, it was a fair trade (not much different from turning your Bravura into a Ragnarok, for example), but it was a pretty dumb excuse lore-wise. It would be better if you could give the weapon directly to Gerolt as a way to skip the step and get the anima weapon.

I feel genuinely bad for the east coast players. I ended up quitting because I played NIN in 2.5 and couldn't take the broken mudra timing any more. I just ran into a dead end and saw the limitations of online rotation based MMOs. If you're not near a server you're at a massive disadvantage. It's just not fair or fun to know you can never be the best.

lol that's why I took up fishing before I quit. Made a ton of gil and was the first on my server to catch all types of fish as well the Of Dragon's Deep title. Eh at least I was the best in something before I quit.

Reading comprehension retard, I'm not saying that the Anima questline was the peak of game design, I'm saying it was better than Zodiac because it was. Zodiac had godfucking awful steps like the books, the light grind (which was a million times worse than Animas), endless dungeon fishing, fucking atma grinding.

Zodiacs questline was fucking awful because it involved way more grinding for results that were almost always completely reliant on RNG. Anima was grindy in parts but at least you could always make steady process on it, despite it being a grind. Play the game before you open your mouth, retard

Which is? 2 dungeons? Legion keeps 12 dungeons as actual content continuously while offering a scaling difficulty mode. It started with 8, added 2 shortly in, then another longer dungeon (split into 2) and then one more

AP grind is just a very blatant carrot on a stick and legendaries are a legitimately awful mechanic where you can get screwed over long-time by RNG. Both mostly matter only at highest level of play but since WoW generally has more stuff like random passives and traits (through trinkets and now the legendaries and the artifact) there's a lot more variativeness in DPS based on your gear than there is in XIV.

I am making a Counterstrike Zombie Escape map featuring Twintania as a bossfight. Of the 4 bosses, I have already selected 3 for implementation.

However, I think it'd be awesome for the XIV communty to vote their favorite or most wanted boss for implementation as the 4th. I need a boss idea for a wind-themed boss, or a boss capable of wind attacks, even if they can't do them in XIV proper.

M+ is a great PVE fix for smaller parties. I don't know how to incentivize it without pissing of casualbabbies but the whole concept of scaling dungeon difficulties with stacking disrupting mechanics on a time limit is great.

They really don't. 24-men aren't "large raids". I mean like having a raid with 7-9 bosses, preferably if it was also a single dungeon rather than a bunch of completely separate arenas (it's not normal when casual 24-man LFR borefest feels more like a raid than Savage does). It's just dev laziness.

Crafting in XIV is absolute garbage. The first and foremost reason is that you make too much shit that you trade in to vendors. You make leveling gear but instead of selling it to players you trade it in for leves because leveling from just making stuff is 100% unviable. At the cap you spend your time crafting for collectibles and crafting for stuff like Zhloe or whatever instead of making things for players. Having some kind of complicated crafting skill rotation may seem interesting on the outset but at the end of the day you're just gonna press the same macro for every single item you make. End game crafting just becomes this horrific chore of gathering items that appear once in a blue moon or pay out the arse for mats and even then most people dont buy what you craft unless its food or potions.
