Shit at the end they give you over 20 remote bombs, hundreds of SMG rounds and shotgun shells out the ass, you'd have to be speedrunning or playing on console to run out of ammo at any point

Got it, currently replaying all old school REs before playing it. The Beginning Hour demo made my jaw fucking drop, and I was playing on my toaster at 720p low settings. Got it for my PS4, can't wait to get to it.

You get enough ammo to kill everything in the game twice over at pretty much all difficulties.

The only one where resources are somewhat limited is REMake where you have to be pretty judicious with kerosene use.

They managed to make me more casual.
I started RE with 4, then went on to 5, 6 and 7.

I thought it was pretty good. Just make sure you only kill things in areas where you don't travel much by luring them over there because enemies start coming back from the dead ridiculously quickly later in the game.

This image is bullshit as a direct reference to RE4. On the hardest difficulties, ammo is so scarce the optimal strategy is to not upgrade weapons unless they are currently empty since it replenishes ammo.

You have to melee and knife virtually everything as often as possible.

People also forget the S rank requirements that were present in RE2 that lead to such an abundance of ammo, particularly for the Grenade Launcher and Magnum/Shotgun.

You could only pick up the shotgun OR the magnum, I can't remember if Claire's was one launcher ammo type or choosing between it and the bowgun.

This. I played the originals after playing 4 when I heard they were scarier and had scarce ammo. I was disappointed with how much ammo the game dumped onto me with only minimal exploration.

People who remember those games as having limited ammo were probably 12 when they first played them and wasted it all panicking everytime they saw a zombie.
