The human eye can only see 24 fps, BUT the more frames exist the better are the feeling for the 24 frames.

One simple example.
If a game has only 30 fps and you miss the 4 most important frames the gameplay looks shit.
But with 60++ fps the chances are much higher to not miss important frames.
You can understand this if you constantly turn the camera. The lower the fps the more important frames you will miss.

If i'm playing on PC though, I better fucking get 60 FPS if it's got any oomph or intensity whatsoever. I don't need excess frames since my monitor's refresh rate doesn't go any higher, but then i've got a pretty beefy rig right now.

I got a 144hz screen and its really worth it imo, my computer is fairly strong but doesn't hit above 120fps on max settings, still don't notice much of a difference. if I put the settings abit lower it'll reach 150+ but it just feels a little better, but not 'invest another 600 euros to achieve true 144fps' better.
