That's the thing about characters that help teammates, there's always an excuse for losing
so no, your life isn't hard because there's always a way to rationalize your loss as "well my team is just bad" or "im just playing a character that can't do anything on its own"
same as playing low tiers in fighters

You can carry as Mercy. At least as Ana you can shoot down enemies Pharah's or Lucio that your team is ignoring and counter several ults to save your team. With Zen you can assist your team by helping put out relatively high dps with discord while still healing people. Lucio can occasionally get big boops potentially removing large health targets like Rein and Road from the fight instantly.

But what offensive capability does Mercy have? Damage boost isn't gonna help if your team can't play for shit and res doesn't make a difference if they're so bad they're just gonna get wiped again. Pick a better character if you want to climb or keep playing Mercy and flipping a coin every time you queue for comp.

Having down syndrome is hard, i know, but there's no way to cure it so you'll just have to hang in there.
