From what I've heard from my buddy you have many characters with different skills and most of them are actually useful, your characters can move after attacking, there's no healing available during the battles so buffs are crucial and you receive something called inspiration which you can use either to get a second action for one of your characters or to activate ultimate abilities.

I'd actually consider that a point in its favor at this point. That said, romance or no romance only matters if the interactions are any good.

The game seems like it might be reasonably content rich though, going by the trailer. Pirating it now and 4GB is rather impressive for a 2d isometric game. I wonder how much of that is bloat from the voiceover though, indie games always seem to overinvest in art assets.
