But too many of its parts are done terribly for a game that had so much hype and false promises put behind it.
The fact that important parts and plot points were cut out to shitty movie and unnecessary anime doesn't help either.

No I cannot the game is an absolute disaster that doesn't do a single thing well. Even the praised open world section is full of deadends and invisible walls.

Transforming into a small truck or animals, and running around in a room while you've been reduced to the size of an ant was really nice. I wish they brought that over to the real game and more of it.

OP, I need to get to sleep tomorrow because I got alot of work. , so instead of writing a 5 post, 5000 word essay on the intricacies of why you're utterly wrong, I'm gonna sum it up for you in a few tiny bulletpoints.

>the open world wasn't fun
>enemies could be dodge spammed and countered easily thanks to quick time events
>once you progress to that water city the entire game's progression goes straight to a horrible, hellish place. Entire bosses become trivialized as glorified cutscenes, quick time spam goes through the root
>final boss is a puss, and is unsatisfying
>ten year skip for no reason, we're not even allowed to see what happened during
>obvious massive chunks of the game ripped out to resell to us as DLC
>no incentive to ever revisit the game

was good at its core but we needed to be able to explore either the world of darkness or the Empire's continent fully, ideally both. Post game dungeons sucked.

overall not that great but not bad by any means, music and the cutscenes are great like every FF.

Yeah it was alright, but I seriously wished they didnt use the Versus concepts and then completely scrap everything that was good about it.
Should have just used a completely new concept so that they wouldnt be restricted by the original vision. Game might have been better that way.

Story was horrendous, open world was ok-ish, dungeons were pretty cool for a mainline FF, OST was brilliant, camping/cooking/fishing/photography were very nice touches.

The last 3rd of the story, particularly chapter 13, leaves a REALLY sour taste. The ending brought it back for me on my first playthrough, but in hindsight I just can't get excited about XV anymore.
