You have the wrong approach, the game is not meant to be like chess, it's meant to be like poker.
The goal is making most out of shitty and good situation, you will still lose a bunch of time but if you play smart then your enjoyment and your capacity to go further through the games will enhance.

Lot of people enjoy this part of luck because it keeps the game interesting and challenging even when you are vastly better than the rest of your opponents since it will place you in difficult setup which are extremely satsfying when you win them against all odd.

If you can't handle the frustration to lose because the game places you in assymetric situations then go play something else but a lot of people actually have fun and find them challenging.

Open world games are dying out because not only are they expensive, but they are quickly torn apart for having boring ass content. Just checklist Ubisoft tier shit.

This "last man standing/battle royale" genre is about to blow up like MOBAs except the part where they have lasting power. These things are unoptimized, and people quickly burn out on these games. The moment big publishers get in on it, and they will make a console version the primary version since they will need console sales to make money, the bubble pops.

I visually can't imagine one of these games running smooth, looking good, and still being the same game. There will be compromises, even if it comes down to removing the looting aspect.

While this game looks pretty bad it is simple arcadey and clever fun. You wont win if you are a retard. Map awareness and how to rotate in the circle is the most important thing in this game. You dont even need good aim because you can avoid long range encounters and the game will force close range anyway at the end.
