Make a better Assult. Remaking 64 for the billionth time won't change shit. They need to push the series forward or else it will always sulk in the shadow of its only sliver of success.
No one wants a rail shooter in current year except purists, but that won't make a successful game, like we saw with SF Zero. Traditional rail shooting is fine, but maybe not make it more than half of the gameplay. Possibly split it half and half.
I think they should do something like what Assult was meant to be. Go all out and make it not suck. Basically, don't rely on SF's past successes as only a crutch for nostalgic cash grabs.
If they want to revive the series, they need to give it a breath of fresh air, not pull a Weekend at Bernie's with SF64's corpse.
I'm repeating myself at this point, but you get the idea.
