Mass Effect series is the only one to really take on Space Opera recently.

I played a game called Rebel Galaxy since it was "free" on ps4. it has that space western feel to it but it feels more in tuned with firefly than cowboy bebop.
>there will never be a game where you hop from planet to planet and do bounty hunter shit
closest there ever was was cancelled prey 2
>Everyone knows and most love Cowboy Bebop
>Space Dandy rarely ever gets mentioned or talked about

Hard Nova?

Felt more like space final fantasy. Really great though.
Played it on a whim in 2011 and throughly enjoyed it

it's weird to me that rogue galaxy is one of the few jrpgs they picked for an hd ps4 release
not that i mind, it's good and all, but it's still a weird and obscure title for that.

It's nu animu garbage. Also it's not even a space western ya dingus.
>>377378779
It's not very good
>>377379358
>Space Dandy
>Not the last truly great anime
>>377378779
sd is fine but its nowhere near bebop.
>>377379440
>"""""comedy"""" anime
>great
It's ok to have shit opinions but it doesn't make it true.
>>377379509
>Space Dandy is comedy 100% of the time
Oh okay, so you didn't watch it. Gotcha.
>>377378779
>implying space dandy can compete with cowboy bebop
>>377378849
So is it worth a buy?
>>377378714
man that game looked rad as hell, would've been seriously into it
>>377378974
looks p. wild
Cowboy Bebop is okay, but what are some games that are like Outlaw Star?
>>377378779
It's like comparing Thief to Dishonored.
Both were good but one is on a completely different level.
>>377379630
It's definitely comedy focused which regulates it to shit tier.
No anime is 100% of its genre

I'm not even talking badly about Bebop or saying that one is better than the other, it's just that they're both made by the same people so I thought it would get discussion too. I mean, I know /a/ hates it, and even when it was airing people would try and say to take the discussion to /co/, but come on, that's just not very fair in my opinion.

Honestly you just sound like a bigot.
>>377380102
>they're both made by the same people
They only have a director and producer in common and they may as well not even be considered the same people they were 15 years ago.

It also had a ton of different people working on it, and there's a lot of episodes made with the artist's own, unique artstyle. It's obvious that a lot of work, effort, and love was put into it. Surely that's something that can be appreciated, right?
I was just watching Bebop recently and made me think of this. I always envisioned a Bebop game being somewhat similar in structure of Mass Effect but of course modified to the astro charts of Bebop canon and each planet had bounties to hunt with plenty of unique bounties with unique plots. Sad thing too that the last Bebop game that was made was on the PS2 and they canceled the US release last second.
