Looks about as game changing as The Taken King was. Which is to say it looks like everything that could be accomplished in an expansion pack.

The graphics haven't improved, animations have been recycled which is my biggest issue so far since the guns are going to feel exactly like Destiny 1, and 500+ hours of shooting the same gun stopped being fun. It was an amazing starter shader, but late game I never found myself using it. Something about that bright yellow and the grey camo. There's a lot of black and gold or bronxmze and gold shaders

Well it's the European dark zone, but I get your point.
We really don't know what events are offered yet. But I like the sound of quests. Treasure maps. And lost zones im hoping act like a random dungeon generator. I'm optimistic but cautious of what new content we might see.
I'm not sure calling the game cut content is fair. It certainly contains cut content, but I don't see that as inheritly bad. I kinda see as good, I'm glad ideas unimplimented or cut will get to see the light of day.
I remember the reason being that they wanted a fresh start.
