Its called googling retard or having basic PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

or even A. popping the yellow cable into either the green or blue ports

Or B, opening the tv menu and enabling composite then popping the yellow cable into the ports till one works
Or C, googling your tv model number and fucking finding our if it supports copmposite

christ, this is basic stuff
>>
>>377366916
i dont think it will connect.

the red and white cables are audio left and right.

yellow is video. you could just hook it up and turn it on them try the yellow in each of those other holes. doubt it though.

It's for a TOSLINK cable, which is used for digital audio. Basically it's just a fancier version that supports stuff like Dolby's surround formats. Any non-antique A/V receiver will have it, but usually people just use HDMI now since it's less cables to worry about. I use it for my pc since the USB blew out on my cheap Chinese dac/amp.
>>
>>377368994
Yep realized that literally as soon as I clicked post.
>>377368830
>>
>>377368963
It provides pretty good audio, far beyond what the TV speakers provide, but I wouldn't consider the investment to be worth it.

>>377368994
Also, this. The video (yellow) cable goes into the Y/V (green) port. If that doesn't work and there's no separate composite port then you're screwed with that TV. Forget about buying Gamecube component cables unless you're willing the shell out an arm and a leg.
>>

He said component, and Gamecube uses proprietary component cables. My understanding is that they but the chip for digital encoding in the cable itself, so the only option is to reverse engineer the cable and make your own (which you could only sell blackmarket since it's proprietary).

I'll be nice and respond with a proper answer. Assuming those are the only inputs on the back of your tv you are only going to be able to play via component and component GameCube cables are very expensive. Svideo is an option since it appears you have it but it doesn't look like your tv supports svideo. Look around on your tv for composite input, it'll be a yellow input. The red and white cables are for left and right audio channels.

>>
>>377371769
Set it to "AV" or "Video 1" instead of Component
>>
>>377371769
Your tv needs to be set to composite. Channel 2 and 3 is only used for rf input, something that hasn't been around since the n64. Use your tv remote to select the right video signal, if it's an older or crappy brand tv it might just say 'video 1' or 'video 2'. From that picture it looks like some of the inputs were installed lopsided, lol. That tv looks awful.

This is another thing but it's possible the cables you got are broken.

Ps. Composite is gonna look like cheap on a LCD HDTV.
