His whole presence just clashes with the fantastical nature of Star Wars. His jokes, his vernacular, it's enough to take you out of it. Also, I really do think that Han's close relationship with Chewie from the get-go and the Falcon help him appear more "alien" and not just a human. You get the sense that he's a part of the universe and that he deals with shit like this all the time. His inclusion just feels organic. Fin on the other hand is a projection of the audience. He's constantly confused, scared, questioning alien shit. It's really hard to buy into the fact that he exists naturally in that universe. He's us.
