I liked it. It made me realize just how fucking depressed I was. Or it caused my depression
Either or really.Got katawa dick for a fucking long while too.

>katawa dick
Never understood what that was even back in the day
>>377359367
What route?
>>377361393
I think it just means that it leaves you so emotionally impacted that you can't fap.
>>377361712
How can that happen unless is like the first piece of fiction you have read in your life?
>>377359367
I'm a doctor and I couldn't get around the protagonist getting sent to a special boarding school because he had a fucking dysrhythmia. I had classmates in medical school with AICDs. I understand they needed a reason for the protagonist to be more or less normal, give the game some drama and a lose condition, and place him amongst his harem of cripples, but it just took me right out of it.

Because not everyone reads emotionwank. The only books I really read before KS were military, sci-fi, or history-related.
I only DLed KS just to laugh at it with a friend. I only kept reading after we'd done that to see if I could find anything super cringeworthy past what he'd seen. I just kinda got sucked into it I guess.
>>377362235
You could have just said yes.
Lilly is the best girl.
There's a 3000+ thread general faffing about in /vg/. That should tell you what people thought
VNs are not games

>emotionwank
>The only books I really read before KS were military, sci-fi, or history-related.
Would you say Katawa Shoujo has high appeal for people on the autism spectrum in particular?
>>377362408
this
I wish my waifu's route was good

Emi is the best girl
>Helps you get fit
>Cute as fuck
>Willing to experiment sexually
>Makes you healthier in the end
>>377362528
>Does a VN about people with disabilities have a high appeal for people with disabilities
Geez anon, I don't know.
>>377362528
>Would you say Katawa Shoujo has high appeal for people on the autism spectrum in particular?
Judging by how popular it was, and still IS, 4chan, I'll let you answer that one.
>>377362506
>There's a 3000+ thread general faffing about in /vg/.They've lost count twice, both at numbers higher than 3000.

lmao@u
>>377362625
Could be worse, you could always be shitzune.
handless brown girl route when
>>377362730
never, they writers would rather smoke weed than do gay wordshitLilly's route's writer wrote a "semi-canon" route for her. "Summer's Bloom" or "Summer's Blossum" or something like that.
who wants to help me overcome my self esteem issues?
crapawa shitjo is not a game
>>377362528
There is probably some overlap with internet autism but KS is probably actually higly appealing to late teen guys with an hidden sentimental streak.
>>377363071
>Forgot the period
What is this, amateur hour?

Is there anything as emotional as KS? just curious because I would like to experience something similar again.
A decent VN that gave me my waifu for laifu
Play the alpha build if you want more
>>377363293
>Is there anything as emotional as KS?
Depends on what you frankly.
I think the reason KS was so emotionally hard-hitting for many was because they simply didn't expect it to be. They may have expected *some* half-hearted emotionwank but I think for the most part many just expected something along the lines of Meet and Fuck: Cripple Edition.
Anyway, my point is this: if you go into something new expecting a similar level of feels it's never going to be as good as going into something new with no expectation and getting hit hard by it. As such, it's hard to recommend something to people who want more KS because they know what they want and that's the problem: they're expecting it and for it to work they need to *not* be expecting it.
Just my 2 cents, here.
>>377363871
Is there some sort of recommended Suzu route?
>>377360414
>Got katawa dick for a fucking long while too.
this
fucking game ruined my boners and pretty much left me emotionally flat for like two weeks
felt weird when thinking about it
might give it a go again soon, I just need to make sure I follow Lilly's route so I don't cheat on her
>>377364058
A pseudo-pseudo Suzu route by Scissorlips
It's basically canon at this point
>>377364058
A guy named "Scissorlips" wrote one a long while back. It's from Suzu's perspective though so it's a little weird. Still pretty fucking fun overall and a favorite read of mine. The fucking twist got me not once, but TWICE.
I read it once when it came out and then read it again years later. Both times it played me hook, line, and sinker. Feels fucking bad, but god damn it feels good to be tricked every once in a while, no matter how bad/sad it feels.
>>377362625
I wish my waifu's route was.
Fuck, there was one writer on the fanfic forums who was working on their own original girl, and their story was actually pretty good, but of course they just dropped it/on infinite hiatus.
>>377364848
>tfw your favorite fanfic was put never finished and is now impossible to find, probably lost forever
Fucking god damn it. It wasn't even that good, it was just a cool little thing I liked. I'd kill to read it again.
>>377361548
Hanako
Shizune is by far the best
>>377362517
But katawa shoujo isn't japanese, it's western-produced
