It's not that I don't feel any difference. There's small hiccups here and there, certain skills firing off on dead enemies, swiftcast not always registering immediately. Getting out of aoes in time is still fine, and it's not nearly as bad as I feared it could have been. I can still perform my rotations reliably, I just need to be prapared for shit going wrong if mechanics and lag fuck me at the same time. Overall it also feels like the game also plays a little slower, but I'm fine with that. I like the pace. Someone compared it to the ATB system of classic FFs, and I guess that sort of works.

EU players were still using NA servers for a variety of reasons. One of the main ones being no real incentive to transfer to Chaos (transfer bonuses were only offered if you left before the move- you got fuckall for joining).

SA players have shit internet in general and are being routed very fucking far away before reaching Cali. There's nothing they can do about it- it's all in how the undersea cables leading out of their shitholes work.

On the one hand I agree. Potions are honestly more trouble than they're worth, take up hotbar space, and barely add much damage while being on very long cool downs.
On the other, you can buy super cheap mega pots from a vendor in Ishgard, and it's easy to get stacks of draconian potions from doing treasure maps and aquapolis.

If you can use Nocked Arrow, don't use Barrage. They're the same potency but Barrage costs more TP. The only advantage is that it's ranged, but since BRD is now a casting turret, that usefulness is diminished.

Start singing so your cast is done when the tank pulls.

My BRD friends who play it seriously don't use Wanderer's Paeon until after they're done certain shit, and they weave stuff. I don't know the full rotation.

Anon, barrage doesn't cost tp and is the buff that makes the next weaponskill hit 3 times with no crits. You're thinking of the ranged AOE attack named wide volley. Also it's not "Nocked arrow" it's "quick nock". Also the casting stance is called a minuet, paean is the move that removes a debuff from an ally.
It's interesting that your friend doesn't start with Minuet though. I would have to wonder if he turns it on before or after his DOTs too...
