People forget how much of a fucking disaster the first two years of the PS3 were. No PSN, no in-game XMB, and nor even any way to message anyone on your friends list while you were in a game until a late 2007 firmware update IIRC. That's all on top of the fact that it was a NO GAEMS machine.

The entire PS3 reveal in 2006 made me lose faith in Sony at least, if not the entire industry.

Once they dropped Kinect, gave me free video games that I keep even if I don't have Gold, added the Backwards Compatibility, updated their Home menu, and having weekly deals for Gold, I decided to jump PC to Xbox because I didn't want to upgrade to Windows 10.
I have a PS4 which I hardly use, besides exclusives, so all my multi-plats are on Xbone.

I did hate the early days of Xbox One though.
