Destiny. First Borderlands had tedious level progression and a repetitive and boring mission structure.

Gunfights in destiny are better as well.

Now if you were to say Borderlands 2... I'd give the nod to 2. Destiny needs borderland 2s more forgiving and dynamic loot system.

Gameplay was certainly not better, badass tokens were a bad decision from the get go and removing weapon masteries was a mistake. Weapons felt much weaker because of this, especially when you got to level cap and had to slag fucking everything if you wanted any hope of depleting their crazy health pools. Talent trees were more bloated and for some characters you had nothing but bad choices at some levels, this got worse with the Pre-sequel but it was very obvious in Borderlands 2.

No. It was all bad, the lead writer is Anthony fucking Burch. The series wasn't good to start with but later installments manages to strangle any potential the IP might have had.

You're wrong about two things here.
BL2's scaling is exponential so your shit will become obsolete really fast.
The manufacturer gimmicks getting shoved in your face is total crap too.

I prefer BL1's weapons since all of them are actually usable no matter who made them and what quality they are.
Not to mention legendaries drop anywhere in 1 whereas 2 had you grinding specific bosses for them.

Fair enough. I guess I liked that in BL2 you were always changing out guns but they always gave you new guns. And near the end of the game you'll start finding some guns you like a for a few situations.

I guess what fustrates me about destiny is you strike a lot or shoot a lot of enemies and get one average gun or piece of gear that's only good for parts. You may use the same gun for several levels. I just want more loot. It's a little worse since in destiny your loot is tied to your light in an exponential manner. Having a little less light is more than being a little under powered. So you get caught in a vicious cycle for some events.

BL1 did have good weapons I wasn't a huge fan of stat grinding them though.
