Honestly, if they actual made kratos an unapologetic cuck it would be hilarious

For example, you get to like 8 hours in and the plot twist in the story is that Ra, Osiris, or some other African-descent god who, kratos optionally encounters through a side quest given to him through his wife, taunts him with "thanks for taking care of my son, I shall repay you through your wife". And kratos replies with something truly cucked like "a man's son isn't based on his genes, but upon him efforts spent with him".

Then, when eventually the boy gets kidnapped, Ra would be like "that's too bad, well, time to make another", kratos will be like "Aries give me back my wife's son!" and gets himself killed rescuing the boy.

If this was the plot, we would talk about and meme this game to no end.
