It's a good game but I can't finish it. I feel like there's no meaningful progression at all. You get every weapon type early in the game and all the skills are either passives or stupid shit like shoot two arrows at once, slow down time while aiming, sneaking kills, carry heavy weapons. Like shit that should have been part of the main experience from the start but they felt like they needed to hate it away as a level up system.

The only good points about horizon are bullet points made to vaguely describe the game. Robot dinosaurs. Female protagonist. Open world. Realistic graphics. Level system. Dramatic soundtrack. Dialogue wheels. None of these were implemented well and none of the mechanics work well together.

This game is about as 'artistic' as Katy Perry's newest hit and the most recent masterpiece from Thomas Kincaid. Art was never the goal of this game, only sales.

If you want an art game, look at something like katamari damacy, which does something that no other media can ever hope to emulate.

I picked up a cheap used copy, and I got bored when all fights with smaller robots consisted of tall grass cheesing and never having an issue.

The bigger robots just require you to scan them to know what weapon to use and where to hit, then just dodge a bit. It's not a bad game, but it's nothing special.

Nothing, Horizon is one of the best open world games ever made and it has by far the best combat out of all of them

Breath of the wild has better exploration, but Horzion has the epic combat with great enemies

There's nothing that ruins Horizon and makes it a broken game, unlike Breath of the wild which has many glaring flaws (every shrine is short, easy and looks the same, combat is broken)

But again I'm not shitting on Breath of the wild as an awful game just a much more flawed one
