They were planning to bring it back after Nexon dropped out. It wasn't truly cancelled until they were already gone. Besides, even if Nexon had stuck with it and they eventually ruined it, it would've at least given the game potential to get a big enough fanbase for private servers to happen. Right now I'm pretty sure I'll just never get to play it again.
