Are there any good games about ghost hunting? Could something in the vein of all those ghost hunting reality shows make a good horror game?

that terrible ""reality"" TV-series style yank "ghost" "hunting", or actually HUNTING real deal spirits of the dead?
For latter, try Fatal Frame games, and Luigi's Mansion.

Both I guess? I thought the movie Grave Encounters did a passable job of what I am thinking of.

yeah, fuck that shit.
If there's anything worse than "reality" series about people lurking in dark places and explaining every random noise / scripted sequence with "haunting spirit!!!", it's making a goddamn movies out of them.

The movie is more so a parody since the guys doing the investigating don't actually believe in ghosts till they start getting murdered by them.

You know it's fake right?
Fatal Frame is not very good.

I don't doubt you, but where is the proof it is fake? I think they believe what they're doing because the Zak fella seems genuinely autistic mode.
San Andreas
>scan radiations and electrical interferences
>call them ghosts

I don't know what show that is in the OP specifically, but I remember this Derek Anderson guy my mum used to watch who actually got 'possessed' by the spirits. I wasn't even out of my teens yet and it blew my mind that somebody could watch this and think it's legitimate.
I'm sure some ghost shows are less obviously bullshit than the rest of them though.

Derek Acorah, not Anderson.
