Mmos to try other than WoW?
>>377256057
literally none.
Your only other options are 'wow clone' or 'korean grindfest'

Guildwars 1
Literally a single player mmo from start to finish
Best expansion tier
Factions
Nightfall
Eye of the North
Be sure to not buy any microtransactions they were added after NCsoft acquired the game, they did not ruin it to my knowledge only adding more content behind a pay wall.

I tried to play that because i used to love it but i can only find it through paying to buy the entire game
>>377256227
I know what you mean
>>377256460
tough, not much i can do to convince you but i assure you, the game stands the test of time.
>>377256247
gw1 is not an mmo, and at this point it's just a single player rpg where you can maybe talk to someone in a town once

>Literally a single player mmo
the entire point of mmos is to play with others
currently most mmos are single player games you play next to other people who you never interact with because theres no reason to. and they all fucking suck because i didnt install an mmo to do that
>>377256057
>GW2 and ESO if you want something that's not WoW.
>FFXIV if you want a wow clone with superior story.
>Tera if you like grind, action combat and boobs
>>377256057
Elder Scrolls Online is decent, and you get a free weekend on steam every few months.
>>377256057
the secret world is being rereleased as f2p soon
If you own an EQ 2 account the past year, you can get a max level buff right now
>>377259232
SWToR does WoW clone with a superior story much better.
>still has 10x more social interaction than modern wow
>>377259232
>recommending GW 2
>at all
It like you want them to pay for this faggot's transexual surgery. They fuck up the pvp side of the game too. I wouldn't recommend this game to anymore

I was bored and reinstalled EQ2 after not having played it for nearly 10 years. Still remember the zone layouts, but man everything else feels so foreign. I don't think I could ever go back and actually play it again.
>>377256057
am i the only one who thinks that mmos should either be b2p or just subcription based? feels like they are asking an awful lot to pay for the game and then a sub on top of that
>>377260510
no anon they need 60 dollars plus 15 dollars a month plus 40 dollars for every expansion because the game costs so much to make and the servers so much to maintain that they barely scrape by
I enjoyed some mmos like gw2 and teso but since I spent too much time on /v/ I learned to hate them

Guild Wars 2 is only fun for about 10 hours so that's probably what happened.
